os midlake foram nomeados como "best live act" pela revista mojo, para a edição deste ano dos "mojo honours". para além dos midlake foram igualmente nomeados para esta categoria os kasabian, rufus wainwright, florence and the machine e os arctic monkeys. para melhor disco do ano foram indicados "west ryder pauper lunatic asylum", dos kasabian, "truelove's gutter", de richard hawley, "have one on me", de joanna newsom, "lungs", dos florence and the machine, e "wake up the nation", de paul weller. na categoria "breakthrough act" estão nomeados john grant (o vocalista dos fabulosos the czars, agora a solo), the jim jones revue, florence and the machine, the low anthem e mumford and sons.
