jeff buckley

17 de novembro de 1966 - 29 de maio de 1997
passam hoje 17 anos desde o desaparecimento deste enorme talento.

a pergunta

- as pessoas são sobrevalorizadas, mas os animais, apesar de bons ouvintes, raramente dão bons conselhos;
- sempre que tiveres fome, atira um homem de sorte ao mar e ele regressará com um peixe na boca; se não tiveres fome, atira-o ao mar na mesma, apenas pelo gozo;
- nunca invejes aqueles que têm um coração grande, porque mais tarde ou ...mais cedo eles vão ter sérios problemas coronários;
- se quiseres alimentar alguém, dá-lhe um dos teus peixes; mas se o ensinares a pescar podes ter a certeza de que essa pessoa vai ter uma vida social bastante enfadonha;
- calças vermelhas em abril, sinal de que estás a ficar senil;
- uma maçã por dia mantém o médico longe de tua casa, mas as contas na mercearia vão ser cada vez maiores;
- nunca duvides da palavra do senhor, especialmente se ele tiver um canivete suiço na mão;

the secret life of walter mitty

duas dádivas da natureza no mesmo dia;

raymonde e guthrie criaram a editora bella union, responsável pela descoberta de bandas como fleet foxes, midlake, the czars, beach house, the dears, explosions in the sky e cantores como john grant, laura veirs, andrew bird e j. tillman.

snowbird -amelia

In the prairie with the sheep
I fall to reap a wreath of bay berries,
To crown the horses in your heart.

I can't tame them for a thousand frozen days
They're wild as a storm, pulling the house down.

Five feathers of a swan, to bind with Queen Anne's lace
And silver wheat, to crown the horses in your heart.

I can't tame them for a thousand frozen days
They're wild as a storm, tearing the house down.

I can't tame them for a thousand frozen days
They're wild as a storm.

Oh, Amelia, Amelia fair, Starry eyed, (Amelia fair)
Ooo, Amelia, Amelia fair, Starry eyed, (Amelia fair)

Oo, Oh, Amelia, Wild as a storm….

snowbird - porcelain

you stand so still,
your hands and fingers made of porcelain,
holding me

snowbird - all wishes are ghosts

All wishes are ghosts, letting days go by.
They hide out like ghosts in the snow.

And I'm a singing sparrow.
You had me a ghost letting day.
And then made me ghosts.

Let days in fright.
They move their things to say, where it is coming.
Where you have company.

All wishes are ghosts, letting days go by.
They hide out like ghosts in the snow.
And I'm a singing sparrow.
You had me a ghost letting day.

snowbird - in lovely

Once upon a time, I had you in my mind.
Honey don’t you feel the same, in lovely.

Once upon a time, when the moon was on my side,
We fell as one, in lovely.

And your hazy movie smile, in black and white, your eyes behind,
A shadow of a doubt in lovely.

So what now, what now will I do,
When I gave everything I am to you.
And I drift like the smoke on a black and white screen,
Endlessly, oh endlessly in lovely.

So I’m packing up my things,
The railway train will take me through,
The stations of our love, the way I used to mean the world to you.

Just before I go, I’ll leave you what I need the most,
My heart so you can hold it,
And remember me when I was still in lovely.

So what now, what now will I do,
When I gave everything I am to you.
And I drift like the smoke on a black and white screen,
Endlessly, oh endlessly in lovely.

óscares 2014 - as nomeações

10/01/2006 - 10/01/2014
oito anos...

2007 - não sou pretensioso, ou pelo menos não o tento ser, sei que não passo de uma pequena gota num oceano de blogues nacionais cada vez maior, mas posso garantir-vos que o resultado deste primeiro ano de vida é, para mim, muito satisfatório. tive com este blog uma relação amor/ódio intensa, ora fazendo posts em catadupa, ora desligando-me completamente dele, por cada período de entusiasmo vinham sempre duas fases de aversão e desprezo. ainda hoje é assim... ao comemorar um ano de vida, sinto-me, de certa maneira, realizado. era mais ou menos isto que eu pretendia quando decidi criar o blogue;
2008 - vou tentar diversificar mais os temas, entrando por outros domínios, como a indústria de cabedais na noruega, a caça à baleia em alto mar e a jardinagem. vou ainda tentar, ainda não sei bem como, oferecer um café a todas as pessoas que entrem ao "nuvens da alma". se ficarem mais de trinta minutos a ler, ofereço também um queque de laranja, da dan cake;
2009 - estou no lugar 608 na lista dos blogues com mais visitas de portugal, segundo o blogómetro do weblog, num total de 1643 blogues inscritos. estou à frente de blogues como o "sexo na banheira", "sempre em frente amor", "bravos do mindelo" e "o encanto da gaitadura", o que constitui uma enorme surpresa para mim. nunca julguei ser possível estar à frente de "o encanto da gaitadura". nunca!;
2010 - quatro anos e 1465 posts depois, sinto que já escrevi tudo o que tinha a escrever, embora nunca tenha escrito a palavra "açafrão"; (...) este blogue nunca ousou ser mais do que aquilo que sempre foi, uma bolinha de borboto, um mero emaranhamento das fibras salientes da superfície do tecido que é a blogosfera. e quem diz um mero emaranhamento também diz aglomerado arredondado de fibras. se não conseguirem dizer as duas recomendo vivamente uma terapeuta da fala. já passaram por cá muitas pessoas, admito, algumas até permaneceram durante um considerável período de tempo, não sei à espera de quê, provavelmente dessa coisa sobrevalorizada a que chamam "criatividade"; (...) lembrei-me agora mesmo que também nunca escrevi a palavra "gânglios";
2011 - nestes cinco anos fica, essencialmente, uma grande mágoa: o sporting nunca foi campeão nacional. outra grande mágoa: a tvi nunca me contactou no sentido de comprar o nome deste blogue para intitular uma novela. mágoa ainda maior que estas duas: cavaco silva foi sempre o presidente da república. pelo meio, houve espaço também para algumas alegrias: festejei a saída de paulo bento do sporting, festejei a saída de carlos carvalhal do sporting e espero festejar, brevemente, a saída de paulo sérgio do sporting; (...) essencialmente, quero deixar uma marca. não tão grande como a fuga de crude no golfo do méxico, mas um bocadinho maior que o impacto que del neri teve como treinador do fc porto. não persigo a fama, até porque esta poderia mandar-me prender;
2012 - o "nuvens da alma" viu a luz do dia, pela primeira vez, no dia 10 de janeiro de 2006. a sua primeira reacção foi semelhante à de antónio guterres quando lhe pediram para quantificar o valor do pib nacional, mas rapidamente aprendeu o "abc"das lides blogosféricas e, seis meses depois, já ia na letra "p". o nuvens foi crescendo, devagarinho, compassadamente, ao ritmo de um discurso de vítor gaspar, e chega assim, hoje, nesta gélida noite, ao sexto aniversário. se fosse uma pessoa, estaria agora a ir para a escola, o que seria uma estupidez de todo o tamanho, porque é uma da manhã e a escola deve estar fechada; (...) há poucas coisas mais dolorosas do que escrever por obrigação. bem, talvez andar de patins numa loja da vista alegre. ou mergulhar numa piscina de arame farpado. mas fora isso...;
